Modifications for the Asia Rocsta

Available in standard form with power of upto 78bhp (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the Rocsta. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 85.8bhp to 132.6bhp but this depends on how deep your pockets are and how much fairy dust you want to use! You will almost certainly need to look at turbo or supercharger mods to get near that maximum power figure and your engines internals would need to be a fair bit stronger!
If you have a lower powered Rocsta your best bet for a mod would be an engine swap with the 78bhp Rocsta Softtop. Employ some weight reduction to make your Rocsta perform better. Rocsta tuning projects should generally start with some improvement to the intake/exhaust of the engine. So get a good quality sponge or cotton gauze panel air filter. A good fuel pressure regulator will up the throttle response. FASTROAD CAMS should be next up on your tuning list and will offer reasonable power gains on the Rocsta.
NOTE: The more you power that you start with the better your gain will be. POWER GAINS ARE PROPORTIONAL TO YOUR BASE POWER. Rather than try to hit big power figures on a small engine try and do an engine swap instead. Getting better flow through the head of the engine would reward your Rocsta with more power and may actually give a little more economy. So get the engine head polished and ported. The Rocstas handling can be dramatically improved with some choice suspension modifications. The Car Tuning Guide do not recommend lowering more than 35mm.

Hi i have 1995 2.2l diesel asia rocsta, just wondering if you know if there is an engine to replace the genuine under powered 2.2 which will bolt straight in and give a few extra kw
