Available in standard form with power of upto 122bhp (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the Lacetti. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 134.2bhp to 207.4bhp but this is far out of the reach of your local part store.
You will need some extensive work on the engine block, gas flowing, porting, 3 angle valve job, fast road cams, a remap, full balance and blueprint and even then you will need to add some pretty serious forced induction upgrades.
The more powerful Lacetti Hatchbacks provide a suitable donor engine for the lower powered models in the range. There are some star performers in the Lacetti line up. With a few mods you will make yours a road scortcher rather than just a hot hatch.Your first engine modifications for your Lacetti should be an induction kit, sports exhaust and fuel boost valve.
The next level of modifications involve taking more aggressive action. The Lacetti responds well to a fast road cam which is one of the best value mods out there. Internal engine modifications that should be high up on your list would be polishing and porting the head.
