Available in standard form with power of upto 240bhp Diesel or 215bhp Petrol (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the C6. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 270.5bhp with a fast road cam and remap to 400bhp but this takes a lot more than just bolting on a massive exhaust and adding a go faster stripe. Swapping in engines from Peugeot or Citroen is also an option if you want to add a lot of power to a small engine model.
For serious power hikes like this you would need to look at rebores, porting and polishing and add into the mix a hefty dose of forced induction.
The Car Tuning Guide suggest that if you have a lower powered version you should do an engine swap with a ’405bhp V6 Saloons’. Top of your list for tuning mods will be a sports exhaust system, a fuel boost valve (for a snappy throttle response) and a good quality induction kit.
The next level of modifications involve taking more aggressive action. The C6 responds well to a fast road cam which is one of the best value mods out there. Getting better flow through the head of the engine would reward your C6 with more power. So get the engine head polished and ported.
The C6s come in various power levels right up to 405bhp as per the C6 Saloon If you apply a few tuning mods to this model of C6 you will see power gains from anywhere between 445.5bhp to 688.5bhp. But this sort of power requires some pretty heavy investment and a hell of a lot of engine work. .
Citroen put together a nice package but the turbo C6 owners have a real tuners dream. A remap and Intercooler will add a lot of power to the engine and in some cases you can double your power. The C6s come in various power levels right up to 240bhp. On a motorsport prepared C6 it is possible to achieve power figures of anywhere approaching 326.5bhp to 500.5bhp. But this sort of power requires some pretty heavy investment and a hell of a lot of engine work.
