Tuning the Citroen Xantia

Available in standard form with power of upto 194bhp (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the Xantia. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 213.4bhp to 329.8bhp but this depends on how deep your pockets are and how much fairy dust you want to use! You will almost certainly need to look at turbo or supercharger mods to get near that maximum power figure and your engines internals would need to be a fair bit stronger!
If you have one of the lower powered Xantias you should think about an engine swap with the engine from the 194bhp Xantia Hatchbacks. Already a popular choice for tuning up, especially the more powerful XantiasTop of your list for tuning mods will be a sports exhaust system, a fuel boost valve (for a snappy throttle response) and a good quality induction kit.
The Car Tuning Guide recommend that on the Xantias , you get a fast road cam. Getting better flow through the head of the engine would reward your Xantia with more power. So get the engine head polished and ported.

Citroen put together a nice package but the turbo Xantia owners have a real tuners dream. A remap and Intercooler will add a lot of power to the engine and in some cases you can double your power. The Xantias come in various power levels right up to 194bhp. On a motorsport prepared Xantia it is possible to achieve power figures of anywhere approaching 252.2bhp to 368.6bhp. But this sort of power requires some pretty heavy investment and a hell of a lot of engine work. . Suspension improvements can dramatically increase the road holding and cornering of your Xantia. To avoid other problems you should lower the car no more than 36mm.
