Modifications for the Ford Fiesta

Available in standard form with power of upto 148bhp (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the Fiesta. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 162.8bhp to 251.6bhp but this depends on how deep your pockets are and how much fairy dust you want to use! You will almost certainly need to look at turbo or supercharger mods to get near that maximum power figure and your engines internals would need to be a fair bit stronger!
If you have a lower powered Fiesta your best bet for a mod would be an engine swap with the 148bhp Fiesta ST. Ford certainly know what they are doing when it comes to making a fun car and the more powerful Fiestas provide and excellent tuning base to work from. Top of your list for tuning mods will be a sports exhaust system, a fuel boost valve (for a snappy throttle response) and a good quality induction kit.
The modification that gives the biggest power gain on your car would be a fast road cam. Getting better flow through the head of the engine would reward your Fiesta with more power. So get the engine head polished and ported.
The top Fiesta ST offers a base power level of 148 bhp. The car tuning guide would expect you to see power gains from 162.8 bhp to 251.6 bhp!
A Fiesta with forced induction (turbo or supercharger) will give even larger power gains that this. The most powerful Fiesta has a healthy 148 bhp. In a competition setting you may well, with some forced induction, reboring and other major work see power figures between 192.4 bhp to 281.2bhp with mods we have outlined above.) Many Fiesta owners improve the handling of their cars with slightly stiffer springs. Although lowering improves handling you should stick to a drop of 35mm.
