Increase the power of your Honda Integra
We like the Integra and with a few of our Integra tuning tips we are sure you will have a fantastic car. Better than what Honda ever intended!
Available in standard form with power of upto 188bhp (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the Integra. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 206.8bhp to 319.6bhp with mods ranging from a few subtle add ons to a full engine rebuild! And more in the case of most Turbo engines if you include an uprated turbo.
If you have one of the lower powered Integras you should think about an engine swap with the engine from the 188bhp Integra Type-Rs. The more powerful Integras respond exceptionally well to tuning mods.
The most frequent modification we see on the Integra include sports exhausts, air intakes or induction kits and a fuel pressure boost valve.
A fast road cam will make quite a difference to the peak power of your Integra. Internal engine modifications that should be high up on your list would be polishing and porting the head.
The top Integra Type-R offers a base power level of 188 bhp. The car tuning guide would expect you to see power gains from 206.8 bhp to 319.6 bhp!
Honda put together a nice package but the turbo Integra owners have a real tuners dream. A remap and Intercooler will add a lot of power to the engine and in some cases you can double your power. The most powerful Integra has a healthy 188 bhp. If this is a turbo engine as standard you can further increase the power from anywhere between 244.4 bhp to 357.2bhp with mods we have outlined above.) Suspension upgrades are next on every Integra owners priority list. You shouldn’t really lower a car by more than 30-35mm.
