Available in standard form with power of upto 291bhp (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the Legend. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 320.1bhp to 494.7bhp with modifications varying from a few DIY mods to some pretty major engine work. The higher you go the more unreliable the car will be and you should expect to have to rebuild the engine regularly if you want to extract silly power. A big forced induction upgrade would be needed to push beyond the 100bhp per 1000cc limit.

If you have one of the lower powered Legends you should think about an engine swap with the engine from the 291bhp Legend Saloons. Already a popular choice for tuning up, especially the more powerful LegendsLegend tuning projects should generally start with some improvement to the intake/exhaust of the engine. So get a stainless steel exhaust and good quality induction kit. A good fuel pressure regulator will up the throttle response.

The modification that gives the biggest power gain on your car would be a fast road cam. Turn your attention next to the Legends engine head. With a good gas flowed ported engine you will see much better mid and peak range power.

The top Legend Saloon offers a base power level of 291 bhp. The car tuning guide would expect you to see power gains from 320.1 bhp to 494.7 bhp!

You will get even larger power gains for these tuning mods on a Legends. A simple remap and better intercooler will almost double your power. The top Legend offers a base power level of 291 bhp. When setup for motorports we can expect to see almost mythical power figures approaching 378.3 bhp to 552.9 bhp! Many Legend owners improve the handling of their cars with slightly stiffer springs.
