Modifications for the Morgan Aero

Available in standard form with power of upto 335bhp (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the Aero. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 368.5bhp to 569.5bhp which seems almost too good to be true but is possible if you have deep pockets.
To go over the 100bhp per 1000cc limit you would need to be running a pretty serious forced induction setup. If you head for a maximum power figure you need to expect a lot of unreliability. See this link for more details on Engine Tuning
Morgan mods should include an engine swap to provide a better base to work from. The ’335bhp Aero 8s’ is a real gem in terms of power. The more powerful Aeros respond exceptionally well to tuning mods. Aero tuning projects should generally start with some improvement to the intake/exhaust of the engine. So get a stainless steel exhaust and good quality induction kit. A good fuel pressure regulator will up the throttle response.
FASTROAD CAMS should be next up on your tuning list and will offer big power gains on the Aero. Getting better flow through the head of the engine would reward your Aero with more power. So get the engine head polished and ported.
The top Aero 8 offers a base power level of 335 bhp. The car tuning guide would expect you to see power gains from 368.5 bhp to 569.5 bhp!
The forced induction Aeros are around with some impressive Turbo and supercharger conversions being done. These give impressive power gains over standard but require a lot of effort to get working properly. If you have a turbo or supercharger get the intercooler uprated for even more power. The top Aero offers a base power level of 335 bhp. When setup for motorports we can expect to see almost mythical power figures approaching 435.5 bhp to 636.5 bhp! Many Aero owners improve the handling of their cars with slightly stiffer springs. The Car Tuning Guide do not recommend lowering more than 35mm.
