Available in standard form with power of upto 112bhp (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the Partner. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 123.2bhp to 190.4bhp which seems almost too good to be true but is possible if you have deep pockets.

The Car Tuning Guide suggest that if you have a lower powered version you should do an engine swap with a ’112bhp Partner Combis’. Peugeot have produced some interesting cars over the years. The Partners really will benefit from a hike in the power. The most frequent modification we see on the Partner include sports exhausts, washable replacement panel air filters and a fuel pressure boost valve.
The next level of modifications involve taking more aggressive action. The Partner responds reasonably well to a fast road cam which is one of the best value mods out there. Getting better flow through the head of the engine would reward your Partner with more power and may actually give a little more economy. So get the engine head polished and ported.

Despite the large cost involved adding forced induction to a NASP engine will give large power gains. Turbos are harder to add to a car than a supercharger. It is harder to map a turbo as the boost comes on progressively with engine speed. The nice steady boost to rpm characteristics of the supercharger make them easier to map. Suspension improvements can dramatically increase the road holding and cornering of your Partner. To avoid other problems you should lower the car no more than 36mm.
