Available in standard form with power of upto 242bhp (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the B9. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 266.2bhp to 411.4bhp but this depends on how deep your pockets are and how much fairy dust you want to use! You will almost certainly need to look at turbo or supercharger mods to get near that maximum power figure and your engines internals would need to be a fair bit stronger!
The more powerful B9 Tribecas provide a suitable donor engine for the lower powered models in the range. The more powerful B9s respond exceptionally well to tuning mods. B9 tuning projects should generally start with some improvement to the intake/exhaust of the engine. So get a stainless steel exhaust and good quality induction kit. A good fuel pressure regulator will up the throttle response.
The next level of modifications involve taking more aggressive action. The B9 responds well to a fast road cam which is one of the best value mods out there. Internal engine modifications that should be high up on your list would be polishing and porting the head.

You will get even larger power gains for these tuning mods on a B9s. A simple remap and better intercooler will almost double your power.The most powerful B9 has a healthy 242 bhp. In a competition setting you may well, with some forced induction, reboring and other major work see power figures between 314.6 bhp to 459.8bhp with mods we have outlined above.) Many B9 owners improve the handling of their cars with slightly stiffer springs. Although lowering improves handling you should stick to a drop of 35mm.
