Available in standard form with power of upto 330bhp (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the 430. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 363bhp to 561bhp but this is far out of the reach of your local part store.
You will need some extensive work on the engine block, gas flowing, porting, 3 angle valve job, fast road cams, a remap, full balance and blueprint and even then you will need to add some pretty serious forced induction upgrades.
The Car Tuning Guide suggest that if you have a lower powered version you should do an engine swap with a ‘330bhp 430 Coupes’. The more powerful 430s respond exceptionally well to tuning mods. Your first engine modifications for your 430 should be an induction kit, sports exhaust and fuel boost valve.
The next level of modifications involve taking more aggressive action. The 430 responds well to a fast road cam which is one of the best value mods out there. Internal engine modifications that should be high up on your list would be polishing and porting the head.

Maserati put together a nice package but the turbo 430 owners have a real tuners dream. A remap and Intercooler will add a lot of power to the engine and in some cases you can double your power. The 430s come in various power levels right up to 330bhp. On a motorsport prepared 430 it is possible to achieve power figures of anywhere approaching 429bhp to 627bhp. But this sort of power requires some pretty heavy investment and a hell of a lot of engine work. . High on your list of mods for your 430 should be handling improvements. To avoid other problems you should lower the car no more than 36mm.
