Increase the power of your SAO Penza

When tuning your Penza it is important that you get it right so follow our Penza tuning overview and see which the best modifications are.

Available in standard form with power of upto 65bhp (depending on the year), so this goes to show the tuning potential of the Penza. From this you can increase the power from anywhere between 71.5bhp to 110.5bhp which seems almost too good to be true but is possible if you have deep pockets.

To go over the 100bhp per 1000cc limit you would need to be running a pretty serious forced induction setup. If you head for a maximum power figure you need to expect a lot of unreliability. See this link for more details on Engine Tuning

The more powerful Penza Hatchbacks provide a suitable donor engine for the lower powered models in the range. Lighter cars respond very well to tuning, if your car is heavy then your first job should include weight reduction. Your first engine modifications for your Penza should be a panel air filter, and fuel boost valve. The modification that gives the best power gain on your car would be a fast road cam.

NOTE: ALL ENGINE POWER GAINS ARE PROPORTIONAL TO YOUR STARTING POWER. The more you start with the better your gain will be. So don’t expect miracles from small engines, and engine swap is a much better proposition. Getting better flow through the head of the engine would reward your Penza with more power and may actually give a little more economy. So get the engine head polished and portedSuspension upgrades are next on every Penza owners priority list. A drop of 35mm will work well on most cars, any lower and you will hit other problems.
